CHAPTER 17 PART 1/4
“Mandy?”
“Hmmm?”
“Mandy, why are you and Bill still not talking?”
Mandy didn’t responded.
“Mandy, hun, you haven’t talked to me about it since that day we met the guys. And tomorrow they’re coming to Belgium. You’ll probably see them. Just tell me. Don’t you like Bill? That’s okay, you know, you can’t like everyone. But he deserves to know the truth.”
Mandy sighed. The girls were lying on a bed and watching TV. But there wasn’t anything interesting on.
“Okay, you obviously don’t want to tell me,” Jess said a bit irritated, “just tell me it’s okay that they come over here tomorrow. You’ll be here to and well, if you don’t want to see them it’s okay. I’ll just, see him another time”
“Oh Jess, it’s not that!” Mandy said, “It’s okay, they can come over. It’s just, I don’t know…”
“It’s okay if you don’t want to tell me.”
“No, it’s not. You’re my best friend, you deserve the truth. It’s just, I can’t trust myself.”
“Is it because of Henry?”
“NO, well maybe… yes,” Mandy sighed, “it’s just, I’m afraid Jess, afraid it’ll happen again.”
Henry was Mandy’s ex boyfriend, and he hadn’t exactly been number one on a top 10 of boyfriends list. He had broken her heart, cheated on her and then blamed it all on Mandy saying she was too jealous and didn’t give him space.
“Bill is not Henry, you know that, right?”
“Yeah, but I’m still the same Mandy. And I know it wasn’t my fault he cheated on me. But I am jealous, and I am pretty possessive. I won’t be able to handle it. He is so big and so famous. I just… It was a nice dream, but it won’t happen Jess, I won’t let it happen.”
Jess didn’t agree with any of this. She was sure Bill and Mandy would work out the problems that come on their way. But this wasn’t her decision to make. It was Mandy’s.
“Okay, if that’s what you think is best.”
“I know it is,” But she didn’t sound as convinced as she should sound.
“But it’s okay if they come by tomorrow?”
“Sure, I would never forbid you to see your boyfriend”
Jess smiled
“Do you love him?”
“I,… I think I do”
“Have you ever told him?”
“Not really”
“You’re not sure?”
“I am. But… it’s such a big thing to say. You don’t just go running around and tell people you love them, do you? I mean, once you’ve said it, it’s okay, you can say it whenever you want. But the first time… it should be special right?”
“Yeah…”
Both girls drifted of in their thoughts again.
“Can I ask you something? Without you thinking I’m weird or anything.”
“I already know you were weird from the moment you decided your goldfish should be free and threw him in the sea.”
“Hey, I was 9, how could I know he couldn’t stand salt water.”
Jess smiled, “ask away”
“How’s the sex?”
“WHAT?” Jess shot up and looked shocked at Mandy.
“Well, he has always such a big mouth in interviews… I was just wondering.”
“Yeah, well. You can wonder with someone else. I have no idea.”
“No?”
“No”
“So you guys haven’t? You know…”
“No”
“Why not?”
“Seriously Mandy, it’s just sex. Our relationship isn’t based on that part.”
“Obviously”
Jess shot a look at Mandy, “It just, it hasn’t happened yet. We don’t see each other that much anyway. We talk mostly over the phone.”
“Do you want it to happen?”
“I don’t know. Maybe.” Jess sighed, remembering how close they actually had been last time. If that guy hadn’t come knocking on the door. “But it should feel right. I don’t want to have sex because I feel like I have to.”
“No, of course not.”
“It’s their last show today” Jess subtly changed the subject.
“You just say that to change the subject,” Mandy smiled and Jess grinned, “but I’ll go along with it. I know.”
“They’re coming here tomorrow.”
“I know, you told me like twenty times already”
Jess grinned “I’m just happy”
“I’m happy for you!”
“Are they all coming?”
Jess thought a minute about that, “I’m not sure. Georg is going to Katleen I guess.”
“O yeah, that’s that girl that was here last week, right?”
“Yes, she’s nice. I like her.”
“Me too”
“Well, Tom is coming here and Jill too for the doctor. I’m guessing Bill is coming too, he probably wants to stay with his brother. And last time he told Tom he wanted to some to the ultrasound. But I’m not sure about Gustav. Maybe he’s going home. I don’t know.”
She looked at the clock. It was 22.04. Their show should be done by now.
“Mandy?”

ma morge moek me de vroege werken, mn mama word geopereerd, dus alsk thuis ben eten maken, dan naar't ziekenhuis
vrijdag weer met de vroege gaan werken, dan weer eten maken en naar't ziekenhuis.
dan tegen 8h na mn vriendin haar werk, en dan gaan fitnesse
zaterdag thuis vanalles doen aangezien mn mama ng in't ziekenhuis ligt, en WEER op bezoek gaan
dan zondag morgen gaan fitnesse en namiddag... wete ik ng niet
maar de kans is klein dak dan thuis ga zijn
en ergens tussenin mijn huiswerk ng maken
en dan maandag trug school
*heeft helemaal geen druk weekend fzo*

eignlk moet ik nu op sgool sijn alleen ik ben siek dus moek ff beter worden en dan hebbik gwn drie dagen langer vakantie gehad
